For many, converting your vehicle to EFI can be a very frustrating trip, whether this be actually converting or modifying an existing GM Delco equipped engine, or actually installing a completely different EFI engine (GM or other) into either your Street Machine, Hot Rod, or 4WD.

There is a mine field of mis-information out there, and it continually amazes me, some of the stories I hear about from other companies or wrecking yards, (and even what some journo's write in magazines) that in order to get a sale, will tell you anything you want to hear, or they just plain don't know.

The Biggest and Most Useful Tip that I can give you on this Website is,
go buy yourself, The Genuine GM Holden Workshop Manual for VP Commodore, either Volume 3, for V6 (M40320C)  or Volume 4, for 5L V8 Engine Part No. M40320D. These are the Engine Management manuals, and  should be called "Understanding the Delco"

This book will save you $1000's. GM are the only company I know of that explain in detail how their vehicles work, in particular, their EFI.
If you just read the General Information part at the beginning of each Section, and understand it, you will know more than most "experts" around the country.
This is where I learnt most of what I know about GM Fuel Injection.
It contains all the Wiring Diagrams, How all the Sensors work and what they do, How to find trouble codes and how to fix problems etc etc….
A quick read of this book is enough to convince you that the Delco is a true piece of work, developed and backed up by one of the biggest auto makers on the planet.
If I were to copy this book and Rename it, "Understanding the Delco 808 ", I would make a fortune……..
This book is a must, even for fitting a Delco to another make of engine.
